Big Night for Porzingis, But Not Enough to Steal a Win
A Tale of Two Halves
The Celtics blew out the Mavericks 107-89 to take Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. The first half was all Celtics led by Jayson Tatum's 17 points. The Mavericks came out strong in the second half, but the Celtics were too much to handle in the end. Kristaps Porzingis led the Mavericks with 20 points, but it wasn't enough to steal a win.
Can the Mavericks Bounce Back?
The Mavericks will need to make some adjustments if they want to bounce back in Game 2. They will need to find a way to slow down Tatum and the rest of the Celtics' offense. They will also need to get more production from their role players. The Celtics are a tough team to beat, but the Mavericks have shown that they can compete with them. It will be interesting to see how they respond in Game 2.
